WHY DON'T I BELIEVE IN GOD?

the essence of the project
We use a large stand with the words "Why don't I believe in God?".

Everyone has the opportunity to write their opinion:

  • Why doesn't he believe in God?

  • Or, conversely, what does he believe?

How does it work?

1. People leave their answers on the stand.

2. We ask them to explain their opinion and start a dialogue.

3. It is normal for the answers to be radically different. It is important that everyone is able to express their position.

project goal

Move immediately to discussing spiritual matters, without being distracted by less important topics.

questions that will help

Can you explain your position?

  • Why do you think so?

  • Find a statement on this board that you strongly disagree with and explain why.

  • What are you really worried about right now?

  • Do you believe with all your heart?

  • Do you have doubts?

  • How long have you held this position?

It was a rainy evening in the center of Kyiv, and a man in his forties in an expensive coat approached the stand. He stared for a long time, then abruptly wrote in large letters:
“Because if there is a God, why did my daughter die of cancer at 12?” I quietly asked him to explain.
For fifteen minutes he cried out at me, his eyes filled with tears, and then he suddenly stopped and whispered, “I just want someone to tell me she’s not gone forever.” We stood in the rain for another hour, and for the first time in five years he prayed with me, holding my hand.
